Just a girl and her camera

I’m a brand and influencer marketer in New York. I run marketing for Circle Line, The BEAST, and New York Water Taxi, and I’ve been telling stories with a camera for as long as I can remember.

EARLY YEARS

I grew up online

Tumblr and YouTube taught me how to see, edit, and share. I started making videos on an iPhone, saved up for a DSLR, and went from iMovie to Final Cut Pro. The tools kept changing. The habit of noticing small things and turning them into something worth sharing never did. In 2017, one of my photos won an Honorable Mention in Senator Kemp Hannon’s “Best in Town” photography contest.

A TURNING POINT

My camera became my lifeline

Covid hit during spring break of my junior year at SUNY Oneonta. One week at home turned into months of online classes, and my graduation was a livestream. In a photography class, I spent six weeks documenting the pandemic: empty spaces, masked faces, the silence. When my great-grandparents passed away, I photographed that too. The pictures held grief, but also neighbors lining the street with flags to say goodbye. Their ending became my beginning.

That same spring, I led publicity for SUNYFEST, a virtual concert that brought more than 45 SUNY campuses together. In 2023, my pandemic diary was published in Chronicling a Crisis: SUNY Oneonta’s Pandemic Diaries (SUNY Press).

MOVING FORWARD

I bring the same eye to the brands I work with

Loss taught me presence. Stillness taught me to observe. I still work that way. I started at New York Cruise Lines making TikToks as an intern, and now I run marketing for three brands. The job hasn’t changed much: find the small moment most people would miss, and make someone feel something. That’s what I put into every campaign, creator partnership, and email.
